Sindang Station is within walking distance, but finding the door takes a moment: you push a cat statue to the right of the entrance, and it swings open. Inside, low lighting meets shamanic motifs, and even the restroom is covered in the character for good fortune. The twelve-zodiac cocktails are ordered by birth sign or after the bartender walks through the ingredients. The Horse, for instance, mixes vodka with carrot, apple and lemon. For a fuller meal there is naengsuyuk-myeon, cold noodles with sliced boiled pork, or perilla-oil pasta with bracken, while gamjajeon, a potato pancake, suits a lighter round. The cat-shaped cake works as dessert against the sweeter cocktails. Friday nights and weekends usually mean a wait, which some guests spend at the cafe across the street.
