Jeongok Yangpyeong Haejangguk 전곡양평해장국

The baek-kimchi, a white kimchi with no chili, is the standout here, and between it and the clean-tasting kkakdugi the side plates keep getting refilled. The Yangpyeong-style haejangguk is packed with blood curd, dried cabbage greens, offal and bean sprouts, and anyone who would rather skip the blood can order the gogi haejangguk with offal only. The buckwheat pancake comes out crisp. On New Year's Day, people coming from watching the sunrise fill the room from early morning, and arriving a little late means a wait.
