COMFORT is a multi-layered cultural space in Huam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, commanding a panoramic view of Namsan Tower from its elevated hillside position. The building distributes a curated select shop, exhibition galleries, and a cafe across its floors, offering more than a typical coffee stop. Floor-to-ceiling windows on the cafe level frame Namsan Tower and the surrounding cityscape head-on, with sunset and nighttime views drawing particular acclaim. The specialty coffee program centers on hand-drip brewing with a rotating selection of single-origin beans, ranging from clean citrus acidity to deep, nutty profiles. Seasonal desserts, cakes and terrines with distinctive visual presentations, rotate throughout the year and have built a following of their own. An Americano is priced in the 7,000 to 8,000 won range, reflecting the premium location and the caliber of the space. Exposed concrete walls paired with carefully chosen furniture give the interior a gallery-like refinement, with artistic touches woven into every corner. The house mascot, a black cat character named Piyong, appears across merchandise and design elements, lending the space a playful identity. Weekend visitors may face a wait for window seats, and because the cafe sits on a steep hillside, taking village bus Yongsan-02 or a taxi is more practical than walking from the nearest subway station. On-site parking is unavailable, so public transit is the recommended approach.
