Hanok-inspired decor fills a large room in central Myeongdong where staff grill sweet-salty marinated galbi over charcoal braziers from start to finish. The bibim guksu comes with plenty of broth rather than dry, and doenjang jjigae rounds out the table. Menus are printed in English, Chinese and Japanese, and walk-ins often struggle to get a table.
