I had mandu jeongol and yukhoe at Solhyanggi in Cheorwon, and it was one of the most satisfying meals I have had. The dumplings were generously stuffed and paired perfectly with the clean, deep broth. The yukhoe was impeccably fresh, buttery and sweet with no off-flavors at all. What elevated the experience even further was the owner's heartfelt welcome and the staff's genuinely warm service throughout the meal. This place requires an opening-time visit; I arrived before the 5 PM dinner start and was already number 14 on the waitlist. They use golf balls to assign queue numbers, which is a fun touch. Parking is spacious. Combined with a trip to Goseokjeong and the Hantangang suspension bridge, this restaurant makes for a perfect Cheorwon itinerary.
