Sinchon Sikdang 신촌식당

Dakbulgogi, minced chicken grilled over charcoal, is the dish not to skip. It has a clear smoky taste and goes well wrapped in lettuce with crisp fresh kimchi. Nokdu baeksuk, chicken simmered with ground mung beans until thick, comes in big portions; two people do best with two orders of dakbulgogi and one of baeksuk. Apple kkakdugi, cubed radish kimchi made with Cheongsong apples, comes as a side, and wings or shoulder can be added to the grill. The carbonated spring in front of the restaurant tastes strongly of iron, and one cup is plenty for curiosity's sake.
