Gildong Park's woods press right up against the cafe. From the mountain-side terrace and the second-floor outdoor seats, the view is more forest than city. Inside, three floors of seating spread out under warm lighting. The parking lot is large, yet on weekends an open space is hard to find and food takes a while. Eggs Benedict is the house standard, with soft poached eggs and a steady hollandaise, and mentaiko cream pasta folds salted pollock roe into a cream sauce. An in-house bakery fills the bread counter, and a few craft beers can go with brunch. The coffee comes as either a nutty or a brighter, more acidic roast.
