Up a flight of stairs off a Gukje Market alley, this second-floor coffee room has vintage furniture and low lighting that recall a neighborhood coffee shop in Japan. Days are for espresso and hand drip; at night the counter pours whisky and wine. There are only two sofa seats and someone is nearly always in them, and prices run high for a cafe inside the market. Vienna coffee comes under a thick layer of whipped cream over strong, nutty coffee, and the moist chestnut tiramisu carries the same cream-and-coffee taste.
