Maru Sushi 마루스시

Thick slices of fish sit on each piece, and the toppings are aged by the owner every morning. This small counter in Sangdo-dong, near Soongsil University Station, has run for over 10 years and sells sushi as three sets labeled A, B and C, with shrimp tempura as a side. Lunch adds hoedeopbap, raw fish over rice, only on days when fish is left over. Seven bar seats and a few tables fill quickly at meal times. Takeout is available, and the shop closes on Sundays.
