British royal-style cups, plates and porcelain figures are on display all through the building, and afternoon tea has a room of its own. Bread and cake are chosen on the ground floor first, and drinks are ordered after. The fresh-cream bread is very soft, and pasta and pizza turn a visit into a meal. Out in the garden, tulips, hydrangeas, roses and chrysanthemums take turns through the seasons, and the walking path on the hill behind mixes double cherry trees with red maples.
