Huil-ro Cafe stands on the Daepyeong-ri coastline in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, commanding panoramic views that shift with every direction and season. From the gallery-like second floor, the ocean stretches out front with Marado and Gapado islands on the horizon, the dramatic Baksugijeong cliffs and Sanbangsan mountain frame the right side, and Hallasan rises behind the building. Depending on the time of year, canola flowers or buckwheat fields blanket the surrounding landscape in vivid color. The rooftop terrace offers what many consider the most striking vantage point, where the rugged Seogwipo shoreline meets the open sea. The first floor features spacious table seating, while the second floor operates as a no-kids zone, maintaining a noticeably calm atmosphere. Despite its large footprint, the cafe keeps noise levels low, partly by design and partly because patrons tend to speak quietly, seemingly in deference to the scenery. A separate annex building is available but lacks the ocean views found in the main structure. Signature drinks include the bittersweet Hue Coffee, the visually striking Seollok Latte with its palm-tree latte art, and the creamy Peanut Latte with its gentle nuttiness. The bakery lineup is broader than typical Jeju cafes, with consistently solid quality across pastries and breads. Beverage prices hover around 8,500 won, placing the cafe on the expensive end even by Jeju standards. Parking is available directly in front of the building, and a larger lot sits nearby, though there is no direct walkway connecting the overflow lot to the cafe entrance, requiring visitors to loop back along the road. The property also operates a pension, making it a practical base for travelers exploring Seogwipo's southern coast.
