Up a flight of stairs off an Euljiro alley, the second-floor room mixes hanok details into a dark, jazz-filled bar. The signature is the juknyeokgo cocktail, built on juknyeokgo, a traditional Korean distilled spirit; the sujeongwa cocktail draws on cinnamon-ginger punch. A hangwa plate of Korean confections suits the traditional-spirit drinks, and the generous yukhoe, raw beef, can stand in for dinner. Classic cocktails, whisky, wine and draft beer are also poured, and the bartenders will mix to your taste in fluent English. Counter seats give a view of their work.
