A long-established Chinese restaurant in Bukpyeong, Donghae, Gangwon Province, situated near the Bukpyeong five-day market, allowing diners to experience the charming atmosphere of market day alongside their meal. The gan-jjajang (dry-fried black bean noodles) is the signature dish, featuring wok-kissed noodles with a subtle char aroma and natural sweetness from caramelized onions, complemented by springy noodle texture. The gul-jjamppong (oyster spicy noodle soup) is packed with plump oysters in a rich, ocean-scented broth and is especially popular during winter. The samseon-jjamppong includes diverse mushroom varieties, though seafood distribution across the bowl may occasionally be uneven. The tangsuyuk arrives in a classic presentation with crispy batter, tender pork, and green peas on top, served in pour-over sauce style. Fried rice receives consistent praise, and ganpunggi (sweet and spicy fried chicken) along with spicy fried shrimp are equally regarded, making this a rare Chinese restaurant that excels in both noodle dishes and wok-fried plates. Denpura (unsauced fried meat) is an off-menu item that can be requested and makes an excellent beer accompaniment. Queues form before opening even on weekdays, and diners from as far as Gangneung make detours specifically to eat here. It is widely considered one of the top-tier Chinese restaurants in the Gangwon region.
