Inside the Amorepacific headquarters in Yongsan, on the left side of the ground floor, Osulloc's flagship lets guests smell its signature teas before deciding what to drink. The reservation-only afternoon tea set slips savory bites between the sweets, such as conch and avocado canapes, Jeju black bean canapes and a sandwich of black-pork jambon with bracken, so it never turns into a run of sugar. The 1979 tea course opens with a non-alcoholic citrus tea cocktail and closes with a ceremonial matcha shot. Among the green teas, Samdayeon tastes clean and nutty. Hot water for the tea is topped up throughout a two-hour visit.
