Up on the fourth floor of a building right outside Exit 11 of Sadang Station, orange-and-brown lighting and Indian ornaments fill the room, and window tables look down on the Sadang crossroads. Curries are built on spices blended in-house and taste heavy and layered; chicken makhani and palak paneer, spinach with paneer cheese, are eaten with naan torn from the tandoor and dipped in. Water comes in traditional Indian metal cups rather than ordinary glasses. The Kali A Set for two brings salad, samosas, tandoori chicken, curry, naan or rice and lassi together, and the weekday lunch set needs at least two diners. The building is old and the way up feels tired, but the restaurant itself is kept clean.
