The smell of roasting beans hits first. In this small, yellow-painted shop, a Japanese barista does all the roasting and brewing. The signature salt coffee comes with cream on top yet never feels heavy, and it finishes clean. Most of the beans lean nutty rather than acidic, while the Ethiopian hand drip has a clear, bright aroma. Some regulars stop in just to buy cold brew concentrate to take home.
