Stone walls and glass panels frame a garden of ornamental citrus trees, eight kinds in all, visible from the big windows of this cafe in Hado-ri on Jeju's eastern side. The Chodang corn affogato is corn ice cream with whole kernels in it, with espresso poured over the top so the sweet corn meets bitter coffee. Hallabong smoothie, a Jeju citrus drink, is the fruit option, and the dense Basque cheesecake and ciabatta cover something to eat. Dogs are welcome, and an upper yard lets them run off leash. The owner's own mild-mannered dog wanders around inside.
