카페아스타나
Cafe Astana is a large bakery cafe in Dongtan, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, housed in a distinctive red-brick building. The house-made bread selection is extensive, and returning visitors frequently remark that the bakery quality exceeds their memory of it. A fig-topped bread has earned devoted regulars, and the pumpkin sesame glutinous rice bread wins over even those who normally avoid pumpkin. The mont blanc has also drawn praise as a top-tier rendition. The second-floor cafe area offers a range of seating concepts to suit different moods: a glass-ceilinged zone near the windows bathes tables in greenhouse-like sunlight, while the Fellows Room with beanbag seating provides a quieter retreat. The sprawling interior evokes the feel of a botanical garden in its own right. A dedicated kids zone operates entirely by advance reservation, with a 20,000-won booking fee returned in full as a cafe credit. A jungle gym inside the zone is well suited for children aged three to six, making the cafe especially popular with families. A separate pet-friendly zone is also available. Beyond bakery and coffee, the menu extends to brunch dishes, beer, and wine, expanding the cafe's utility beyond a typical tea-and-cake stop. The parking lot is spacious enough to accommodate weekend crowds without difficulty, offering free parking on weekdays and two and a half hours free on weekends, with separate entry and exit lanes that ease the experience for less confident drivers. Bread and coffee prices run somewhat above average, and the open-plan design of a large-scale cafe means that noise levels can rise on busy weekends.
