Another Blue 어나더 블루

Another Blue is a roastery cafe directly facing Jangsahang beach in Sokcho. Its Americano can be made with a blend or a single-origin bean, while the hand-drip list includes coffees from origins such as Guatemala and Costa Rica. Espresso diluted with water and filtered hand-drip coffee produce different concentrations, aromatic development, and mouthfeel even when both are served black. The drink called Sea-Embracing Einspanner places soft cream over hand-drip coffee and introduces a light fragrance reminiscent of lemon. Cappuccino and cafe latte vary the proportions of espresso, steamed milk, and foam. Fruit ades and herbal teas provide non-coffee alternatives without borrowing the roasted flavors of the espresso menu. The dessert case has included strawberry shortcake, double fromage cheesecake, chocolate cake, vanilla milk-tea cake, tiramisu, and seasonal fruit cakes. Strawberry shortcake layers sliced berries and cream between thin sponge sheets. Double fromage combines softer and denser cheese layers in one slice. Fig cake places cut fruit through several bands of sponge and cream rather than using fig only as a surface garnish. Warm timber furniture extends through the first and second floors. Large windows on the second level face the Jangsahang shoreline, placing the water across most of the seated sightline. A third-floor rooftop raises the view above the road and opens toward the horizon and harbor edge. The ordering counter and cake display are separated from the main seats, so beans, brewing method, milk drinks, and cake slices are chosen before moving toward the window tables or the quieter timber-lined interior. A hand-drip coffee and a cream cake keep the roasted liquid and soft dairy layers in separate vessels, while an einspanner combines those textures within the cup.
