In the Nepali food street of Changsin-dong near Dongdaemun, a Nepali couple runs this original branch around a clay tandoor oven, in a dining room filled with folk objects and decorations from Nepal. Butter naan comes out large and chewy and holds up to curry better than the plain version, which can be dry. Among the chicken curries, chicken makhani builds on tomato, butter and cream; palak paneer (spinach with fresh cheese) covers meatless orders. The Nepali set brings dal bhat, a lentil soup, with aloo dum potatoes, papad crackers and yogurt in small bowls to mix into rice. Tandoori chicken is properly spicy, and there is no parking.
