The pepperoni bread puts salty, slightly spicy pepperoni under a drizzle of honey, so sweetness comes in after the salt and heat, and the crust is baked crisp. Round little cheese baguettes and bacon-cheese baguettes are small enough to take several, and the canele has a dark, firm shell. The strawberry cream cake is clearly sweet. Coffee has moderate acidity and a nutty edge but comes out strong; anyone who drinks it light should say so when ordering.
