Seolmun Coffee is a mid-sized cafe at 832 Gobong-ro, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, forming part of a multi-building complex alongside the Seolmun fermented red bean bread shop, Seolmun galbi-jjim restaurant, bakery, and flower shop. The cluster of buildings functions like a small village, often referred to as Seolmun Town, where visitors can sip coffee with freshly purchased red bean bread from across the way, or settle in for a post-galbi-jjim dessert. Inside the cafe, bonsai trees, flowers, and artwork are displayed throughout, creating a nature-inspired yet culturally rich atmosphere. A hyperrealist painting by artist Kim Young-sung adds an unexpected gallery element. Generous table spacing makes conversation comfortable, and the second floor offers a quieter environment for those seeking calm. The coffee carries moderate acidity, though the Americano can lean bitter with a heavy aftertaste, so opting for lattes or blended drinks like the five-grain latte tends to improve the experience. The black sesame latte is popular for its rich, nutty depth. Drip coffee is not offered. The Seolmun fermented red bean bread from the shop across the path is a local specialty, and along with salt bread and other bakery items, it can be brought into the cafe to enjoy alongside drinks. A recently renewed bakery corner inside the cafe also offers expanding options. Veterans and their family members receive a 30 percent discount. The parking area is large and vehicle access is highly convenient. Weekends draw many family visitors and the surrounding restaurant area skews toward an older demographic, while weekday visits offer a considerably quieter experience.
