Ordering and picking up food are both self-service on the ground floor, and the drinks counter is somewhere else again, so a table upstairs means several trips on the stairs with a tray. The pane pasta comes as cream-sauced noodles inside a round loaf, and the old-style patbingsu, topped with red beans and rice cake, is served in a huge bowl. Pipes are exposed all over the red building, and from the rooftop around sunset you can watch the light shift on the water toward the Han River.
