Geureun Akeo 게으른악어

Geureun Akeo is a two-story cafe on Worak-ro in Salmi-myeon, Chungju, facing Chungju Lake. Indoor windows and outdoor decks look toward the water, wooded slopes, and ridgelines across the lake. Low outdoor tables combine ordinary coffee seating with a separate camping-style cooking area. The outdoor ramyeon setup begins with packaged noodles and optional water, egg, kimchi, pickled radish, or instant rice. Diners collect a pot, portable burner, windscreen, and chopsticks, then cook at the designated deck tables that permit an open flame. Once the water boils, noodles and soup powder enter the pot; egg or rice changes the body of the broth. This activity stays apart from the indoor coffee and pastry tables. The brunch egg set places egg, bacon, and bread on a plate, providing a dry breakfast structure rather than noodle soup. Ice-cream croffle sets cold dairy over grid-marked laminated dough. A three-scoop version changes temperature and softness as melting ice cream reaches the crisp grooves. Nutella Oreo adds chocolate spread and cookie crumbs. Baumkuchen consists of many thin baked rings sold in small portions, while the Eiffel Baum presents layered cake in a taller form. Mocha cream cold brew covers chilled extracted coffee with a sweet, soft cream layer. Americano, cafe latte, plain einspanner, einspanner latte, fruit ades, and berry-yogurt smoothies move among black coffee, steamed milk, cream, carbonation, fruit, and cultured dairy. Upstairs seating includes standard chairs and lower places where the back and legs can rest closer to the floor. Multiple rows of deck tables extend among the trees outside. From a higher point on the trail behind the cafe, peninsulas and ridges projecting into Chungju Lake resemble the backs of crocodiles. The cafe itself frames the broad water surface and the nearest mountain slope rather than the complete summit pattern.
