Sinheung Jeongyuksikdang 신흥정육식당

Sinheung Jeongyuksikdang is a beef-grill restaurant on the first floor of 37-2 Seonhwa-dong in Jung-gu, Incheon, near Sungui Station on the Suin-Bundang Line and Sinheung Market. It operates in a butcher-restaurant format: customers select the cut and quantity of meat at the sales counter, pay for it, and grill it at their table. A fixed table-setting fee is charged to each diner separately from the meat purchase. The principal cut is prime-grade beef sirloin from the United States. Other beef options include saewoo-sal and jinkkot-sal, allowing several cuts to be purchased and cooked over the same grill. Accompaniments include scallion kimchi and soybean paste stew, which can be eaten with the grilled beef or added as the soup component of the meal. The interior is arranged with round metal drum tables resembling the practical seating of an older market-area barbecue shop. In the evening, incoming customers may need to wait until a table becomes available. The restaurant is closed every Sunday. It does not provide a dedicated parking lot, so drivers need to use a public parking facility around Sinheung Market or Sungui Station.
