Pilmudeu is a large bakery cafe on Gisan-ro in Gwangtan-myeon, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, situated near Songchu Valley and comprising a two-story main building and an annex. The daisy garden between the two buildings has become a recognized spring flower destination in northern Gyeonggi, drawing visitors and amateur photographers who come for the blooms set against an artificial waterfall. The rooftop of the main building offers a direct mountain view for enjoying coffee, and autumn turns the facing slopes into a canvas of changing foliage. Outdoor tables are spread across the garden at comfortable intervals, avoiding any sense of crowding. Inside, diverse seating styles cater to different moods, with particularly plush sofas that invite extended relaxation. High ceilings and large windows framing the mountain landscape create an open, airy feel, and the space is cleaned frequently to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. The bread selection is varied and generally good, though it tends toward the sweeter side, and pricing sits at a slightly elevated level. Coffee ranges from average to decent and lacks strong distinguishing character, but pairs adequately with the baked goods. Sangha ice cream is also available. The annex building permits pet entry, making it a welcoming option for dog owners, and there is no mandatory drink order per person. The parking lot is spacious enough to accommodate visitors comfortably by car, and the location works well as a stop after visiting Bogwangsa Temple. Popular bread items sell out by evening, so a morning visit is recommended.
