A broad garden with a pond, fountain and pavilion, even swings and a Korean seesaw, fills the ground in front of the hanok main hall, and beyond it lies the sea on Jeju's west side. Bread is picked from a long display case, and when it gets busy the aisle in front is too narrow for shoppers and passers-by to sort themselves out. The signature rice salt bread is crisp outside and chewy within, and the Manong baguette is stuffed with garlic sauce. Come late and some days the shelves are empty.
