Of the old Honeymoon House hotel, once President Syngman Rhee's villa, only one wing is still in use, now a bakery cafe run by KAL Hotel; the drama Narco-Saints was shot here too. A long walk through a wooded garden comes before the sea off southern Seogwipo opens up. Wind sweeps the seaward terrace, and sitting out there for long gets chilly. The carrot cake is full of nuts and not too sweet, though coffee and bread are expensive across the board.
