An outdoor cat garden in Gaehwa-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, housed on a converted residential property where approximately 200 cats roam freely. Unlike typical indoor cat cafes with 10-20 cats in a confined space, this venue offers a sprawling open-air environment for interacting with the cats - its primary distinction. Admission (approximately 10,000-15,000 KRW per person) includes one bottled drink from a refrigerator or warmer, with cat treats available for separate purchase to hand-feed. The vast majority of cats are docile and sociable, making the experience comfortable even for those unfamiliar with cats. Many actively seek physical affection - climbing onto laps, enjoying back scratches, and nuzzling against visitors. The signature experience is spreading a blanket on the hillside area and lying down, at which point cats naturally wander over and settle beside you. Since the cats live outdoors and walk on soil, they will leave dirt on clothing when they sit on laps, so wearing old or casual clothes is strongly recommended. Those with allergies to cat hair or dander should exercise caution given the sheer number of cats in an open environment. Parking accommodates roughly 7 vehicles, and weekend traffic congestion on surrounding roads can be an issue. On weekdays there is no time limit for visits, allowing for a leisurely afternoon, while weekends have restricted time slots.
