Filter coffee is the way to taste single origins such as the light, tea-like Honduras El Puente Batian washed, Ethiopia Niguse Nare, or a Costa Rican decaf. The 10th-anniversary blend opens with an orange-like brightness and finishes sweet. The flat white carries a thin layer of milk foam, and pound cake or a butter bar sits beside the cups. Whole beans are sold to brew at home, though seasonal lots such as Lychee Peach disappear for stretches at a time.
