White glutinous barley grown around Gunsan goes into the dough, so even the red bean bun has a chewier bite than a wheat bun. Castella made with the same barley goes the other way, cutting soft and cakey, and the barley manju come in boxes of ten. The breads are mostly not very sweet, and the vegetable bread has almost no sweetness at all.
