On the Sunset is a large-scale ocean-view cafe in Sadeung-myeon, Geoje, positioned along the coastline at the entrance to Geoje Island and ideally suited as either the opening or closing stop of a trip to the area. The defining attraction is the panoramic view of the sunset over the South Sea (Namhae), and arriving after 3 PM on a clear day allows visitors to witness the full progression of shifting sky and water colors. The building spans multiple floors, each decorated with a slightly different design theme. From the third-floor veranda, a set of wooden stairs leads to an elevated space reminiscent of a Southeast Asian rooftop bar, which provides the most striking vantage point for watching the sun descend. The front deck walkway functions as a popular photo area that draws a constant stream of visitors whenever the weather cooperates. The signature Sunset Coffee offers a mild bittersweet flavor, while the Pongdang Green Tea leans toward the sweet side. The tiramisu roll cake is moist and moderately sweet, complementing the beverages adequately. The food and drinks serve their purpose without being exceptional in isolation, the primary value lies in the setting and the visual experience. An adjacent building houses a small gift shop with assorted accessories and souvenirs, though prices across the board run high. The parking lot is sizable with staff on hand to direct traffic, yet holiday periods bring enough vehicles to fill the lot entirely. Winter visits restrict enjoyment to indoor seating, making spring and autumn on clear days the optimal seasons. Restrooms are located in a separate facility outside the main building, which is a minor inconvenience to note.
