Manna Son Kalguksu 만나손칼국수

Tucked inside a shopping arcade between Chungmuro Station and Dongguk University's back gate, this small noodle shop reopened in unit 103 after moving from its old spot. Kalmandu puts kimchi-filled dumplings into a bowl of hand-cut noodles whose widths vary slightly, so the mild broth alternates with a spicy filling. Flour from the noodles thickens the soup a little as you eat. Kimchi is self-serve, and leftover broth is finished with rice. Kong-guksu, the seasonal cold option, coats the noodles in a thick soup of ground Korean soybeans.
