Dreaming Camera is a small themed cafe surrounded by greenery in Jungwon-ri, Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong. The building translates an oversized camera into three-dimensional architecture, with an exterior that suggests a lens, camera body, and shutter before the entrance is reached. Inside, cameras collected across different periods and photographs taken by the owners are displayed together, overlapping the functions of a cafe, personal gallery, and compact camera museum. Windows look toward surrounding trees and foothills. The bright, small interior includes seats where a book can be opened or the exhibits can be viewed quietly. Coffee is prepared with Terarosa beans. The cafe's dream program begins when a guest writes a personal aspiration on paper. The text is converted into a pocket-sized printed card that can be carried away, while the original is stored at the cafe and can be found again on a later visit. A family can write separate goals, or one person can turn a private plan into a short physical record. These written cards add the visitor's own material to a room already filled with cameras and photographs. Outside, the entire camera-shaped building functions as the subject and background of a photograph. Inside, attention moves to the mechanics and forms of actual cameras and the details within the displayed prints. The setting creates several literal connections to photography: the building resembles the device, collected cameras show how the device changes over time, finished photographs show its output, and the dream card preserves a written moment from the visit. Trees and mountain terrain remain visible around these objects, preventing the collection from feeling like a closed technical exhibition.
