The signature Cho-ogi Coffee is meant to be drunk unstirred, straight from the rim. Cold milk, house-made sweet corn cream and espresso sit in layers, so sipping it that way brings the sweet cream and bits of corn first, with the bitter espresso following. This cafe on Nanseolheon-ro in Gangneung is credited with creating Chodang corn coffee, and it carries the same flavor into ice cream, milk tea, a bottled drink and salt bread. The salt bread dough ferments at low temperature for more than 14 hours, giving a thin, crisp crust and a chewy middle.
