Eomnamu Samgyetang 엄나무 삼계탕

Small whole chickens stuffed with glutinous rice simmer in a broth steeped with eomnamu (castor aralia) bark and herbal roots. Split the bird open and the swollen rice spills out, thickening the soup like porridge. The same chicken also comes in perilla-seed, abalone and numbing mala versions.
