Daemyung Doritang 대명도리탕

Doritang, a spicy braised chicken stew, has long been the business of this spot in Bongmyeong-dong, Cheongju, and besides the regular version there is muk-eunji doritang with aged kimchi. The potatoes cook until floury and soak up the spicy broth, coming out of the pot alongside native Korean chicken. When the heat builds, a piece of gyeran mari (rolled omelet) or pajeon (green onion pancake) breaks it up, and once the chicken and potatoes are gone, rice gets fried in the pot.
