Chotbul 1978 촛불1978

Candlelight does most of the work in this red-brick building on Namsan's Sopa-ro, where the restaurant has been running since 1978. Each floor is arranged differently, and the top leads to a rooftop facing Namsan Tower and Myeong-dong. The anchor is the Namsan donkatsu, thin pork fried crisp under sauce in the old Korean-Western style, alongside a beef cutlet made with Hanwoo flat iron and aged Hanwoo striploin seared in a hot wood-fired oven. Tenderloin steak, fondue, wood-fired pizzas and pastas are also on the menu, and a brunch plate puts French toast, sausage and Namsan donkatsu together.
