Bumyeong Kalguksu 부명칼국수

Jang kalguksu and jang ongsimi kalguksu are served for two or more, so a solo diner ends up with the ongsimi kalguksu in anchovy broth. Chewy potato dumplings and knife-cut noodles cook together in one pot, and the jang versions are spicy and earthy. The dining room is a converted country house, and when it fills up you write a name or number on the whiteboard by the door. Potato and ogapi pancakes share the menu with Samcheok fish dishes such as flounder sashimi and braised jangchi.
