Haokao Stand Izakaya 신당역 맛집 하오카오스탠 이자카야

The ground floor is for grilling skewers over tabletop braziers, and the second floor is set up for hot pot. The primitive skewer full course threads lamb, beef, pork and chicken with vegetables, bread, rice cake and pineapple, far from a set of nothing but yang kkochi (lamb skewers). Tan huoguo, charcoal-heated hot pot, splits the pot between a red chili broth and a tomato broth for meat, mushrooms, tofu, fish cake and corn noodles. Despite the izakaya in its name, cooked Chinese dishes fill out the menu, such as whole fried shrimp toast and sweet-and-sour pork in a chewy glutinous rice batter.
