Sanchon 산촌

Sanchon is a Korean restaurant at 652 Ojeon-dong in Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do, specializing in nurungji baeksuk. Its compact menu consists of chicken baeksuk with scorched glutinous rice, duck baeksuk prepared in the same format, and a tray of buckwheat noodles dressed in a sweet and tangy sauce. The poultry is simmered until tender while reducing the gamey odor, and the accompanying glutinous-rice nurungji adds a chewy texture and toasted grain character. A group can share one whole chicken or duck and add the noodles as a contrasting dish. The restaurant occupies a two-story building, and customers remove their shoes when entering.
