The choice comes down to two styles of jjokgalbi (small pork ribs): sweet soy-marinated or spicy. For starch, there are plain rice balls, the fiery 'tear gas' rice ball, janchi guksu (warm noodle soup) and nurungji. A plain rice ball or the mild noodle soup softens the heat after a round of spicy ribs.
