Jeonju Gamasot Gomtang 전주가마솥곰탕

Jeonju Gamasot Gomtang is a Korean soup restaurant along Hoguk-ro in Seongsa-dong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang. It operates twenty-four hours a day throughout the year without a scheduled closing day, allowing hot broth meals to be ordered in the morning, daytime, or late at night. The core dish is gomtang, prepared by simmering beef ingredients for an extended period in a large iron cauldron to create a clear and deep stock. Somori gomtang adds tender, chewy meat from the ox head, while galbitang uses short ribs. These bowls provide different beef cuts within the restaurant's soup-focused menu. Ox head meat may also be ordered as somori suyuk served in a hot-pot format. A group may therefore combine individual soup bowls with a separate shared meat dish. Handmade pork loin cutlet is available for children or other diners who do not choose the beef soups, and steamed mandu provides a smaller accompaniment. High chairs are installed inside the dining room for families with infants. A large private parking area serves customers arriving by car. Group reservations are accepted in advance. Every menu item is available for takeout, extending the operation beyond on-site dining. The kimchi and fermented soybean paste served as side dishes are also packaged and sold separately.
