Cheonghakdong Naengmyeon 청학동냉면

At the self-serve corner, warm, salty meat broth and cold, nutty arrowroot tea sit side by side. The black noodles are made with chik, kudzu root, and have a strong spring to them. Even the chik mul naengmyeon carries chili paste, making it hotter than ordinary cold noodle soup, and the chik bibim naengmyeon is spicier still; you can ask for the sauce on the side or for less of it when ordering.
