Byeokdolzip is a pork barbecue restaurant at 65-17 Hosu-ro 856beon-gil in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. It has operated for more than thirty years and retains the familiar, aged character of a long-running neighborhood dining room. Fresh samgyeopsal pork belly and fresh moksal pork neck are the principal meat orders. Both are cut thickly and cooked directly on the table grill, emphasizing the balance of fat, lean meat, and texture rather than a heavy marinade. Traditional-style pork skin is another specialty, identified by its resilient chew and savory flavor after grilling. The meal menu includes doenjang jjigae made with house soybean paste. Nutritious rice is prepared after an order is received, allowing the grilled meat to be followed by freshly cooked rice and hot stew. Side dishes include house-made dongchimi water kimchi, seasoned green onion salad, and shredded radish salad. These cold and seasoned vegetables provide different textures beside the pork. The owner couple manages the dining room directly and explains the grilling sequence and ways to handle the different cuts. Dedicated customer parking is available around the restaurant, supporting access by private vehicle. Advance reservations are accepted.
