Stairs from street level on Majo-ro, about 320 meters from Exit 6 of Wangsimni Station, lead down to a basement filled with Hello Kitty dolls and character-printed fans, wastebaskets and other household objects. White and clear angelcore pieces sit beside reflective metal and loud colors, and the mirror corner, lit by artificial basement light, keeps photos sharp and saturated. Cream soda arrives in visible layers of bright soda, ice and cream on top. Coffee jelly is a spoon dessert of springy coffee cubes with cream. The draw is the room and the look of what lands on the table more than anything about the beans.
