Taegeukdang Insadong 태극당 인사동점

Upstairs in the Tongin building, a shop that has stood on Insadong-gil since 1924, Taegeukdang's breads, cookies and drinks are served to eat in or take away. Only stairs lead up from the entrance, so strollers, wheelchairs and large suitcases are hard to manage. The monaka ice cream, held in the hand between thin wafer shells, comes in a standard and a chocolate version. For group events, the Taegeukdang tea table is a reserved spread of bread, sweets and tea. Seating runs from the indoor rooms to an outdoor terrace, and there is no private parking.
