House-cured ham, sausages and charcuterie with wine or German beer are what Xesc Menzl, a European-style meat deli in Seongsu-dong, is built around. At dinner the popular orders are a plate of five sausages on sauerkraut with mashed potato, bokki, an assortment of charcuterie served on a wooden cutting board, and ragu pasta; lunch brings sandwiches, onion soup and other brunch dishes. Ham, sausages and smoked salmon from the display case are sold by the gram to take away. The shop occupies the ground floor of an old red-brick building across from Seongsu Yeonbang, with terrace tables outside, and wine corkage is free. Tables are few, so walk-ins are sometimes turned away; reservations go through the CatchTable app. There is no parking.
