Goesan Sikdang 괴산식당

Cheongju has three restaurants called Goesan Sikdang, and unless you enter Sugok-dong, Seowon-gu in your navigation, you may end up at the Korean restaurant in Yullyang-dong or the yeongyangtang stamina-soup house in Naesu-eup. The Sugok-dong one mostly serves stew-and-rice meals that are easy to order alone, such as cheonggukjang (pungent fermented soybean stew), sundubu jjigae and kimchi jjigae. Groups share duruchigi, stir-fried squid or samgyeopsal, and there are mushroom and pollock stews too.
