Chakhan Nakji Mokdong 착한낙지 목동점

Thick, springy octopus is stir-fried in a fiery sauce and mixed into white rice for nakji-bokkeum-deopbap, the dish most tables come for. Onion softens the heat a little, and the self-serve bar adds soft tofu and salad, with seaweed soup on the side. The Mokdong branch has a wide hall and private rooms, with a waiting area outside the door for mealtimes. Reservations, parking, valet and high chairs are all available. The seafood pancake, loaded with octopus and shrimp and crisp at the edges, is large enough for a group, and leftovers are boxed to go.
